Our vision

We envision a world where technology is used to deliver better, fairer and more authentic assessments that prepare students for what comes next.

Our mission is to support educational institutions to enhance teaching and learning through transforming digital assessment practice.

UNIwise is an established European edtech company that provides a dedicated digital assessment platform for higher education. Assessment is a crucial element of education, and we lead and support higher-education institutions on their journey of the transformation of their assessment practices.

Who we are

Our founders met in 2010, when they were both working at the University of Aarhus in Denmark. Steffen Skovfoged, working in the registrar’s office, knew how onerous the administration of the assessment process could be for staff. Rasmus Blok, coming from research within teaching and learning, understood the pedagogical possibilities technology could open up. They met while working on a project that scoped how technology could be used to enhance the assessment process, and two years later, UNIwise was born.

Our values

UNIwise’s digital assessment platform, WISEflow, gives your staff and faculty everything they need to create assessments that better align with learning outcomes. The platform manages the assessment process from start to finish, enabling you to plan and undertake better assessments to support your students at every stage of their learning.

What we do

How we do it

In this video our founders, Rasmus Blok and Steffen Skovfoged, discuss the UNIwise vision, our way of working and the importance of digital assessment in higher education.

“WISEflow is a powerful platform, but we know that technology isn’t the answer to everything. Where we really add value is in our expertise, drawn from working in higher education ourselves and a decade of partnering to support digital assessment transformation. We know what works.”
