UNIwise opens German office

UNIwise has opened an office in Hamburg to better enable us to support our growing roster of German customers.

Over the past 18 months, we’ve grown substantially in Germany, and our success in the country has prompted us to start building a local office and team, who will be based in Kallmorgen Tower in Hamburg.

The digitisation of German society, industry and education has been an ongoing discussion, with the pandemic highlighting areas for development, such as digital public services. During the crisis, funding of 100 million euros was provided for the rapid development of infrastructure and the expansion of digital education. We’ve already seen the digitisation movement gain momentum at the many German institutions we’ve onboarded recently. UNIwise welcomes the renewed focus on digitisation and draws on our experience of the process of digitisation of education, specifically exams and assessment, that took place in Scandinavia in the past decade to support institutions in Germany – the home of the modern university – as they embrace these same challenges and opportunities.

Spotlight on a member of our new team

Sabrina Henning.jpg

Sabrina Henning, who formerly worked with WISEflow as Programme Manager at Bucerius Law School, joins the UNIwise team as our first German Business Implementation Manager. Sabrina brings her nine years’ experience in higher education – and five years’ experience of working with WISEflow as a customer – to the role, giving her valuable insight into the needs of academic and administrative staff and understanding of the change management process that institutions face.

Steffen Skovfoged, Executive Director of UNIwise, said: ‘We have great working relationships with our German customers, and we expect their number to grow over the coming years. So, we’re delighted to be opening an office in Germany to provide local knowledge and support, and we look forward to welcoming more German colleagues in the future.’

To learn how your organisation could take part in the discussion of digitising education, exams and assessment in Germany, feel free to reach out to Sabrina at sabrina.henning@uniwise.eu.
